LYNN BOGGESS

A plein air landscape painter from West Virginia, Lynn Boggess braves the weather of all seasons, armed with canvases and cement trowels for brushes, to capture the beauty of nature in his unique landscapes. He received his bachelor’s in fine art from Fairmont State University, and went on to complete his master’s at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. For more than 10 years, Lynn taught painting at Fairmont State University while also continuing his career as a painter. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award at the West Virginia Governor’s Awards and the 2001 West Virginia Higher Education Art Educator of the Year. Lynn continues to live and work in West Virginia.
