BOB KNOX

Bob Knox was born in New York City in 1953. He received his BA in studio art from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut in 1975. He also studies at L’Ecole des Beaux Arts, Rennes, France, and SUNY Purchase. In the early years of his career, he worked as an illustrator and his paintings were featured on the cover of The New Yorker magazine numerous times (1988–1992). His work has been featured in one-person exhibitions at Jack Shainman Gallery, New York , Nathan Bernstein & Co., New York, NY ;Blaffer Gallery Museum of University of Houston, Houston, TX; PMW Gallery, Stamford Connecticut ; Gallery Fischer, Stuttgart, Germany and the Findhorn Foundation, Moray, Scotland. In addition, his work has been included in group exhibitions at Jack Shainman Gallery, New York; University of Denver, Victoria H. Myhren Gallery, Denver,CO; James Graham Contemporary, New York, NY; Lehman College Art Gallery, Bronx, NY, Susquehanna Art Museum, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Vankin Schwartz gallery, Atlanta; Galerie James Van Damme, Brussels; Islip Art Museum, New York; and The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, Connecticut.
