Born in Hyderabad in 1955, Sangeeta Reddy moved to America in her mid-twenties, finishing her art education at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver Colorado. Sangeeta has been exhibiting in galleries for twenty five years now in both the United States and India. Her works, both mixed media on canvas and paper and monotypes, “contain refrences to her childhood memories of India while remaining decidedly modern, fresh and deeply contemplative”.
Sangeeta is a 2006 Associate of the Rocky Mountain Women’s Institute and a recipient of the 1990 UCROSS residency and a member of the Lighthouse Writer’s workshop. She’s been Adjunct Faculty at Arapahoe Community College.
She’s also a graduate of Sophia College, Bombay University, Mumbai, India (English Literature (Honours) and Philosophy. She is published author and writes fiction in her home and studio in Littleton, Colorado.
Her work is in private and corporate collections.
